Paul Kershaw BA (Hons). (Chair & Trustee)
Paul by profession is an accredited specialist Regional Training Officer & Course Provider for a National Healthcare company but has a wealth of experience working for the NHS since 1990 in varied clinical roles.
Paul graduated with a BA (Honours) in Professional Educational Development in 2018 at Huddersfield University and is also now undertaking a Masters in Leadership & Management in Adult Higher Education through Huddersfield University, but also holds many accredited recognised teaching qualifications in his own right.
He is best known for his other charitable work with such groups as the Stroke Association, British Red Cross, St John Ambulance, The Children's Air Ambulance as a team leader North West and is also known for his various roles as Volunteer for Manchester Pride as a Team Leader, Parade Manager and on Production for the last 17 years and in 2017 I was appointed as a Community Ambassador for Manchester Pride working within the LGBT community and promoting Manchester Pride’s community and fund raising events throughout the year. I am committed in helping and supporting others less fortunate.
Paul was heavily involved with Greater Manchester Police Authority undertaking various roles for many years (LGBT Advisory Group / Police Animal Welfare / Appropriate Adult / Team Leader Custody Visitor & Recruitment of Volunteers).
Paul joined the board of trustees for the AXM foundation in June 2017.
Karen John (Vice Chair & Trustee)
Haydn Pope is my brother and when we lost him to cancer, our family wanted to create a charitable fund. Haydn believed in community and supporting people when they needed help. This foundation was created to continue his legacy and I am proud to be a trustee. Karen was appointed a trustee in October 2018.
Debra Redhead (Trustee & Treasurer)
I am also Haydn’s sister, that is Haydn in the photo.
This charity is going to enable us to keep my brothers legacy going by helping as many people as we can. Debbie joined the board in 2017
Andy Wade (Trustee)
I have volunteered for several charities including Manchester Pride covering a variety of roles including Volunteer Team Leader, Parade Manager and on Production for the last 17 years. Previous to this I have been a Volunteer Manager for the Children’s Air Ambulance and Greater Manchester Police Authority on the LGBT Independent Advisory Group.
In 2017 I was appointed as a Community Ambassador for Manchester Pride working within the LGBT community and promoting Manchester Pride’s community and fund raising events throughout the year. I have worked in the Civil Service for nearly 20 years as a Certified Counter Fraud Specialist. I am currently studying a BSc in Counter Fraud and Criminology at the University of Portsmouth.
I joined the AXM Foundation team as a Volunteer Manager in 2017 and in October 2018 I was delighted to be asked to join the board of trustees.

I am passionate about the AXM foundation and having been a supporter and volunteer since it was launched I am committed to help keep Haydn’s legacy alive and I am proud to be able to continue to support and assist into the future as a Trustee.
The Foundation has awarded grants and supported the LGBT community and continue to do so and I joined the board in August 2018
John Harvey (Trustee)
After 10 years of retail management and Banking experience I took over the reins at EVA on Sackville street 3 years ago. Manchester born with a passion for my home city and the village community in which I now find myself living and working. John joined the board in October 2018
